Such a disappointing experience due to staff with nonexistent customer service skills. I've lived in Midvale for over 10 years and today was (somehow) my first time ever going to Main Street. I went to The Bambino to try their pizza, had a lovely time, and then wandered over to Cactus & Tropicals thereafter. My, what a beautiful place! I am not a big plant girlie, though I'd love to be. I actually just repotted a plant for the first time the other day (a birkin that was gifted to me last year by a patient of mine) and felt like such an adult that today, as I walked in Cactus & Tropicals and saw such gorgeous plants, I felt confident I could definitely take on another plant -- I'd just need some guidance on where to go next. I even found a $129.99 plant that I instantly fell in love with and knew I needed, but had no idea if it's something that would survive outside of a greenhouse. Unfortunately, I walked by not 1, not 2, but 4 employees who did not acknowledge me during my time in this store. One female-appearing employee was outside watering, one male-appearing employee was in the greenhouse area playing with some rainbow string contraption, one female-appearing employee was at t

Cactus & Tropicals is one of the most beautiful and peaceful plant shops I have ever visited. The space itself feels like a botanical garden crossed with a historic conservatory. From the wicker seating and mosaic tile at the entrance to the sun-filled greenhouse with fountains, brick paths, and lush plant displays, it is calming, inspiring, and genuinely special. You do not feel like you are in a store. You feel like you are in a place meant to be experienced. I came in to buy something for a colleague who had experienced a loss, and I knew a plant would be more meaningful than flowers. The selection was fantastic, with healthy, vibrant plants and a great variety to choose from. Prices were very reasonable and comparable to grocery or big-box florals, but with far better quality and care. They also offer a wonderful lineup of classes each month, including terrarium-making, sound bath experiences, and Ikebana (the Japanese art of flower arranging). Itβs such a thoughtful way to bring the community into the space beyond just shopping. What truly made the visit unforgettable was the staff. The woman helping me was incredibly kind and thoughtful. She tied a bow on the plant, gave

I got my FIRST plant here today after a houseplant 101 class (Brycen taught and I learned so much)!!! Thank you lots. π± There are some other classes I attached a photo of. I also got food at the Bambino next door afterwards. Super cute pizza shop I also recommend. :)
